ニューキャッスルアライアンス会議とは「新しい城」という同じ名前の都市が同盟を結んで２年ごとに集まり、話し合いや交流を行う国際会議のことです。今年はニューキャッスル設立20周年の記念すべき年に、新城市（日本）で国際会議が開催されます。
今回のニューキャッスル・アライアンス会議では、世界の「新城」で繋がった都市・人々の絆と交流の意義を再確認し、今後、このアライアンスが果たす役割と可能性を明確にし、ともに行動を起こすきっかけとすることが目的です。
主に「文化」「観光」「教育」「ビジネス」を4つのことについて話し合いを行う予定です。
 
The Newcastles of the World Alliance Conference is an international conference which gathers every two years among member cities united under the name, "Newcastle" or "New Castle". This year, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Newcastles of the World Alliance, the conference will be held in Shinshiro, Japan. The aim of this year's conference is to reaffirm what ties each of our cities and our people, to make clear what our alliance stands for, to discover its future potential, and to create a launching point for further collaborations and interactions between our cities. We hope to open various discussions on the 4 key themes of: "Culture", "Tourism", "Education", and "Business".
